Holiday traffic feels like a signup event.
It is mostly people who need one clean car before company shows up.
A full lot does not make them ready.
They join when the wash works, the ask is one line, and you already know who comes back.
1. Make the Wash True Before You Make the Pitch
Three jobs still come first.
When they push the button, the wash does what they paid for.
The lot looks like you care.
When something breaks, you have a way to make it right.
A holiday crowd will not forgive a bay that eats their money.
Signups start after those three jobs are true.
2. Talk to the Ready Few
About 80% of the lot will not buy a plan today.
A pitch to every car in line teaches people to say no.
Ask one question.
"How often are you already here?"
A couple of times a month is the plan conversation.
Anything less gets a wash today and a way back.
"We can wash it today. Leave a number and we will text you when the roads get bad."
`Full lot ≠ ready buyers.`
3. Keep the Name When They Will Not Join
The one-time holiday wash is still worth a phone number.
Give them another door.
Points.
A text when the roads get bad.
A one-time wash they can buy again without a speech.
Comfort first.
Membership later.
No name means January has nobody to invite.
4. Put One Line on the Sign
QR and one sentence.
"How often are you already here?"
A wall of holiday prices kills the sale.
Your people get the same sentence.
A couple of times a month starts the plan.
Anything less gets the wash and the number.
If they cannot say it while the line is moving, it is too long.
5. Put a Person on the Busy Days
You do not get members without effort.
A Saturday kid at the pay station.
Or paid ads on the days you cannot be there.
Holiday weekends are when that person earns the year.
A sign alone will not pick the ready buyer out of a full lot.
6. Count Joins and Names
One holiday wash is not a member.
Members average about four washes a month.
After the weekend, write two numbers.
New plans.
New names who did not join.
The second number is the January list.
The spike in the bay is just November.
